South Dublin is home to some of Dublin’s leading shopping centres offering parking and  are easily accessible by the M50, N4, N7, Luas and Dublin Bus

There are retail and industrial parks throughout the County which can supply all your home and garden needs.

South Dublin County offers a diverse array of restaurants and bars serving the best of Irish, Continental and Asian cuisin.

Villages and neighbourhood shopping centres offer a wide range of local shops and services such as butchers, pubs, hairdressers, greengrocers, boutiques.

There are 16 GAA clubs in the County, over 30 soccer clubs along with numerous rugby, basketball, swimming, badminton, tennis clubs etc. In addition to those privately owned by clubs and associations there are 150 playing pitches for Gaelic Football, Hurling, Soccer, Rugby etc. serving almost 850 teams in public ownership.  Some 14,000 players use these pitches on a weekly basis.

There are 12 large playgrounds including a skate park located throughout the County.

There are over 30 Community Centres offering a variety of events and activitie.

South Dublin have four Allotment sites in the County area. They are situated in the following areas, Tymon Park, Friarstown, Corkagh Park and Mill Lane.
